Two University of Wyoming researchers developed a machine learning model that improves the accuracy of detecting earthquakes by 14.5 percent compared to the most accurate current existing model.
Pejman Tahmasebi, an associate professor in the UW College of Engineering and Applied Science, led a study in which they have proposed a method that is more efficient in detecting seismic activity.
