Description
The Luminys N9L-4RAL is a powerful 4MP outdoor network license plate recognition camera built for dependable automated vehicle access control. It also supports gate management and high-accuracy plate capture. Purpose-designed for demanding perimeter and entry-point applications, it delivers sharp 2688 × 1520 resolution at 30 frames per second. As a result, security teams identify vehicles with exceptional clarity and consistency.
Equipped with a motorized varifocal lens, the N9L-4RAL provides a narrow, adjustable field of view. Moreover, it is optimized for long-range targeting and precise plate framing. It effectively isolates and reads license plates from 26.3 ft (8.02 m) to 98.4 ft (29.99 m) away. Therefore, it is ideal for driveways, parking entrances, restricted-access lanes, and other locations where accurate capture at a distance is essential.
For nighttime and low-light operation, the N9L-4RAL uses six infrared LEDs. These deliver up to 98 feet (29.87 m) of illumination in total darkness. That means consistent plate capture around the clock, even in pitch-black environments. In those cases, standard cameras struggle to deliver usable detail.
Beyond license plate recognition, the camera adds valuable vehicle intelligence by classifying vehicle types such as sedans, SUVs, pickups, vans, and large trucks. Additionally, it detects 12 distinct vehicle colors. This extra data enhances searchability, incident review, and access management workflows for businesses, campuses, and secure facilities.
The N9L-4RAL also includes onboard alarm I/O relays for direct automation. This allows gates or barriers to open when an authorized vehicle is recognized.
With Power over Ethernet for simple single-cable installation, it offers an IP67 weatherproof housing for reliable outdoor performance. The unit includes a microSD card slot supporting up to 128 GB of local storage. It also has NDAA compliance for government and enterprise deployments.
