CCTV Power Supply Adapter

The CCTV power supply adapters convert standard AC mains power into a stable 12V DC output. This helps surveillance cameras operate reliably around the clock. This consistent power delivery is essential for maintaining clear video and dependable recording. It also ensures uninterrupted security coverage in homes, businesses, and industrial facilities.

Most standard analog, AHD, and IP security cameras rely on 12V DC power. They commonly use a 2.1 mm x 5.5 mm center-positive barrel plug for connection. This universal style makes installation straightforward. Moreover, it allows many camera systems to share the same type of power infrastructure. As a result, setup complexity and compatibility concerns are reduced.

These power supply adapters are available in a range of total capacities, including 10A, 12A, 20A, and up to 29A. This makes them suitable for everything from small camera installations to larger multi-camera systems. Higher-capacity models provide the extra current needed to support multiple devices. Therefore, they do so without sacrificing performance.

Many units feature wire runs that terminate directly into positive and negative screw terminal blocks. This design provides a secure and organized way to connect camera power cables. As a result, installers achieve cleaner wiring and more dependable electrical contact across the system.

Each channel is frequently safeguarded by a PTC resettable auto fuse to enhance system reliability. If one camera develops a short circuit, this protection helps prevent the fault from shutting down the entire power supply. In this way, the rest of the surveillance system can continue operating normally.

Some CCTV power supply adapters also include automatic adjustable voltage output, regularly up to 13.7V, to compensate for voltage drops over long cable runs. This feature is especially useful in large installations, where distance can reduce voltage at the camera end. It ensures devices receive enough power to function properly and consistently.
