The ST16000VE002 SkyHawk surveillance hard drive provides Seagate SkyHawk 16TB surveillance storage for continuous DVR and NVR recording. Moreover, it stores high-resolution video from many cameras while supporting constant write activity. Security teams can use this drive when long retention periods and reliable access to recorded footage are essential.
The Seagate ST16000VE002 16TB surveillance hard drive uses a SATA 6 Gb/s interface and Conventional Magnetic Recording. Its 256 MB cache and transfer rate of up to 255 MB/s support responsive recording, search, and playback. The helium-filled 3.5-inch design also supports unlimited drive bays in compatible surveillance systems.
ImagePerfect AI firmware helps the drive manage up to 64 HD camera streams and 32 AI streams. It can capture up to 120 AI events per second and compare up to 96 AI events per second. Therefore, the Seagate SkyHawk 16TB surveillance storage can support video analytics while preserving clear footage during continuous operation. Additionally, rotational vibration sensors help maintain performance in multi-bay systems.
The ST16000VE002 SkyHawk surveillance hard drive has a workload rating of 550 TB per year and a mean time between failures of 2.5 million hours. It supports 8,760 power-on hours per year, 600,000 load and unload cycles, and one nonrecoverable read error per 10E15 bits read. A tarnish-resistant design adds protection for demanding environments.
