LPR License Plate Recognition Coaxial Cameras

A coaxial LPR camera helps record cars at a gate or entry lane. Also, it aims at one area. A coaxial license plate camera can show more plate detail than a wide view camera. An HD coax plate camera sends video through coax cable. A plate security camera helps staff review each vehicle. An entrance plate camera gives the best view when cars follow one clear path.

Good setup is key. First, mount the camera where each plate will face the lens. Next, keep the view low and direct. Avoid a side angle. Set the lens for the lane width and the planned range. Test the view while cars move at speed. Then, check video by day and at night. Lamps, glare, rain, dirt, and deep shade can hide plate text.

The camera must work with the HD coax recorder and its video format. Check the cable, power source, lens, and recorder settings. A coaxial LPR camera may use the same cable path as a coax system.

Use a coaxial license plate camera for a set vehicle lane, not for a broad scene. Place an HD coax plate camera where signs, posts, or other cars will not block the view. A plate security camera should record the full plate area. An entrance plate camera should also give staff enough time to see each car.

Collsam Security offers camera choices for video plans. Read each product page before you choose a model. Check the video format, image size, lens, power needs, and outdoor rating. Match those facts to the recorder and the site. Finally, test the view after setup. Clean the lens as needed. Contact Collsam Security if you need help choosing a camera for your lane, recorder, or cable plan.
