VICON Security Pendant Mount V2000D-PM
V2000D-PM Pendant Mount; for the V2000D, V2000D micro dome, V2100D and V2360W series of cameras; compatible with SVFT-WM-1 and SVFT-UWM-1 wall mounts
Pendant mounts are used when cameras must be ceiling mounted, but ceiling height is too high to provide proper mounting angle.
V2000D-PM Pendant Mount consist of a mounting based attached to the ceiling, either a solid surface or building steel, with an extended pipe/tube dropped to the desired mounting height, to which the camera is mounted. Pendants may be constructed using standard electrical fittings or camera-specific parts, which we review later in this report.
Pendant mounts are fixtures that hang from the ceiling and are suspended by some sort of device, whether that be a pipe, conduit, metal rod, cord or chain. These types of Cameras allow area coverage to be directed straight down.
Almost any room. Or one or more can be used to cover a corridor or hallway. When a pendant camera is used as a porch area, it is providing the general converge for that porch.
One appealing quality of pendant mount, when they’re used for general area coverage, is that many of these cameras are designed to cover areas where a camera can’t be mounted on a wall or onto the ceiling.
But it also helps us see the room or hallway itself. It shows us the edges and corners of the space, giving us a better sense of where we are, and of the ways we might best fit into it and move through that space.
