Designed to facilitate the deployment of VoIP devices, wireless access points, and IP surveillance cameras, the Digital Watchdog DW-POE896M is an 8-port unmanaged Power over Ethernet switch. By combining power and data delivery over a single Ethernet cable, it reduces cabling complexity. Additionally, it shortens installation time and helps create a cleaner, more efficient network layout.

At its core, the switch offers 9 total ports: 8 10/100 Mbps PoE ports and 1 dedicated 10/100 Mbps uplink port. The eight PoE ports provide direct power and network connectivity to compatible devices.

Moreover, the uplink port connects the switch back to a main router or network video recorder (NVR). This arrangement makes the unit especially practical in surveillance and small-network environments.
