Description
The ExacqVision IEN16-1U is a powerful 16-channel HD video encoder. It has been developed to assist organizations in the modernization of legacy analog surveillance systems without the need to replace their existing infrastructure. Manufactured under the trusted Tyco security brands, including Illustra and American Dynamics, this 1U rackmount appliance provides a practical and efficient path to IP video migration.
Built for enterprise environments, the IEN16-1U converts up to 16 high-definition analog camera inputs into digital IP streams. This makes it possible to extend the life of existing coaxial cabling while upgrading to a network-based surveillance platform. As a result, this reduces installation complexity and helps lower the cost of transitioning from analog to IP.
To support efficient video delivery and storage, the encoder uses advanced H.264 and H.265 compression technologies. These formats help reduce bandwidth consumption and optimize network resources without sacrificing video quality. Hence, the IEN16-1U is an optimal choice for security deployments of a significant scale.
The unit supports camera resolutions up to 8MP at 10 frames per second, providing clear and detailed video capture for a wide range of surveillance applications. It also includes RS-485 serial communication for PTZ camera control and tracking. Additionally, it offers two-way audio capabilities for enhanced monitoring and communication.
Designed for seamless integration, the ExacqVision IEN16-1U works with enterprise video management systems such as ExacqVision and Tyco VideoEdge. Its configurable digital input/output ports further expand functionality by enabling automated event responses and alarm triggers. Moreover, it supports other custom security actions, making it a versatile and scalable solution for modern video security environments.
