Description

The Hanwha TNM-C4940TD thermal camera combines VGA thermal imaging and 4K visible video in one network device. Its two channels share one IP address, helping installers manage both views. For example, use the thermal channel to detect heat signatures and the visible channel to capture scene detail.

A 640 × 480 thermal sensor works with a fixed 9.1 mm lens. Meanwhile, the visible channel uses an 8 MP sensor and a 4.4–9.3 mm motorized varifocal lens. Also, built-in infrared illumination reaches up to 30 m. In addition, 120 dB wide dynamic range helps reveal detail in bright and shaded areas.

The TNM-C4940TD thermal camera uses AI analytics to detect people and vehicles on the thermal channel. The visible channel also detects faces and license plates. Furthermore, virtual line, stopped-vehicle and traffic-jam events help operators review important activity. Moreover, WiseNR II reduces visible-image noise, while WiseStream compression helps manage bandwidth.

For flexible viewing and recording, the camera supports H.265, H.264 and MJPEG video, plus up to three streaming profiles. In addition, two microSD card slots support up to 256 GB each, for 512 GB total. HTTPS, secure boot and a TPM 2.0 security module help protect the device and its connections.

For outdoor use, the TNM-C4940TD thermal camera has an aluminum housing with IP66, IP67 and IK10 ratings. It operates from -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F). Also, installers can power the unit through PoE+ or 12 VDC. The integrated wall-and-pole mounting design also simplifies installation planning.
