It’s great that VAST Face can accurately identify people wearing glasses, beards, masks, or anything else on. This makes it an ideal solution for workplaces, schools, and other environments where people may have varying appearances. Users can also set their access rules and times with VAST Face, which makes it more flexible than card-based systems.
It is important to note that the Vivotek VAST Face License is not the same thing as the VAST software itself. This means that users will need to purchase the license separately to utilize the facial recognition capabilities of VAST Face.
It’s also no longer possible to buy VAST 2 software licenses, and the most recent update is version 2.13.0. To get a better security system, VIVOTEK suggests switching to VAST Security Station (VSS), which can work with VAST Face.
After purchasing a license for 256 camera channels, you have 60 days to use all of VAST Face’s advanced features. This allows users to test the system and its capabilities before making a purchase decision.
